Hi, I'm Garrett

Man sitting in tall green grass holding a DSLR camera, wearing a black shirt and jeans, smiling outdoors.

I'm just a guy who got lucky enough to take the leap to turn his long-time hobby into a full-time job and have it work out.

If you want to learn a bit about my story and my approach to photography, read below.

Thanks for stopping in and taking a look.

Hope to hear from you soon.

Scrapbooking

Circa 2015

I picked up my first camera in 2015. It was my mom’s, and it was actually the one she used for scrapbooking. She let me use it whenever I wanted, which led to a lot of photos of rocks, leaves, and whatever I could find around the house. But somewhere in that, I became obsessed with learning how a camera actually worked.

In 2016, I started making videos and little adventure vlogs with a camcorder. It was simple, but it got me hooked on capturing moments instead of just taking pictures.

Learning film

2020

Everything changed when I was gifted my first "real" camera. It was fully manual and shot on film. I had no idea what I was doing at first, but I fell in love with the process. It taught me to slow down, be intentional, and start anticipating moments instead of reacting to them.

Going digital

2022

By 2022, photography had become a huge part of my life. I invested in my first digital camera and started documenting everything. I’ve since photographed across North America, as well as in Iceland and Japan. I’ve always been drawn to street and travel photography, where the best moments are the ones you can’t plan and can’t recreate.

The big day

2025

Everything clicked when I got married. I saw firsthand how fast the day moves and how much is happening all at once. At the end of it all, the photos are what bring you back. They’re what let you relive the moments you didn’t even realize were happening.

I shot my first wedding later that year, and I absolutely LOVED it. Now I’m all in.

There's nothing quite like being able to capture once-in-a-lifetime moments.

My approach

When I photograph a wedding (or anything else), my goal is simple. I want you to be fully present while I take care of the details you don’t even notice. The slightly rolled pant leg, the flyaway hair, the distractions in the background. The quick, in-between moments that happen once and are gone.

My background in travel and street photography means I’m always looking for those blink-and-you-miss-it moments. The real ones. The ones that actually matter.

More than anything, I want your photos to feel like your day, not a staged version of it.
